Judy Gilman Erin at Health Nut News: Sarah. My friend Jonathan made the series. I hope he doesn’t mind saying that he took hundreds of thousands of dollars out of pocket to do so. 20 years ago no one could ever get this kind of stuff for free. Nor would they expect it. All they want is an email and you can always use a disposable one or just unsubscribe at the end. I would say it’s worth it and, at any other point in time: People would either have to subscribe to cable to get something like this and have commercials that sponsor it, they would have to go pay to see it in the theater, or they would have to buy the DVD. Thankfully he provides all of this for free. Jonathan Otto is also the one who has made countless videos of the time he spent helping African nations. This is why I support him in the documentaries. I am in this particular one for just a little bit, and he did not pay me to be in it. I hope that helps explain things.

Trigeminal neuralgia
Trigeminal neuralgia
Symptoms & causes
Diagnosis & treatment
Doctors & departments Care at Mayo Clinic
Print Overview
Trigeminal
neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that affects the trigeminal
nerve, which carries sensation from your face to your brain.
If
you have trigeminal neuralgia, even mild stimulation of your face —
such as from brushing your teeth or putting on makeup — may trigger a
jolt of excruciating pain.
You may initially experience
short, mild attacks. But trigeminal neuralgia can progress and cause
longer, more-frequent bouts of searing pain.
Trigeminal neuralgia affects women more often than men, and it's more likely to occur in people who are older than 50.
Because
of the variety of treatment options available, having trigeminal
neuralgia doesn't necessarily mean you're doomed to a life of pain.
Doctors usually can effectively manage trigeminal neuralgia with
medications, injections or surgery.
Trigeminal neuralgia care at Mayo Clinic Symptoms Branches of the trigeminal nerve Trigeminal neuralgia symptoms may include one or more of these patterns:
Episodes of severe, shooting or jabbing pain that may feel like an electric shock
Spontaneous attacks of pain or attacks triggered by things such as touching the face, chewing, speaking or brushing teeth
Bouts of pain lasting from a few seconds to several minutes
Episodes of several attacks lasting days, weeks, months or longer — some people have periods when they experience no pain
Constant aching, burning feeling that may occur before it evolves into the spasm-like pain of trigeminal neuralgia
Pain in areas supplied by the trigeminal nerve, including the cheek, jaw, teeth, gums, lips, or less often the eye and forehead
Pain affecting one side of the face at a time, though may rarely affect both sides of the face
Pain focused in one spot or spread in a wider pattern
Attacks that become more frequent and intense over time
When to see a doctor
If
you experience facial pain, particularly prolonged or recurring pain or
pain unrelieved by over-the-counter pain relievers, see your doctor.
Request an Appointment at Mayo Clinic Causes In trigeminal neuralgia, also called tic douloureux, the trigeminal nerve's function is disrupted.
Usually,
the problem is contact between a normal blood vessel — in this case, an
artery or a vein — and the trigeminal nerve at the base of your brain.
This contact puts pressure on the nerve and causes it to malfunction.
Trigeminal
neuralgia can occur as a result of aging, or it can be related to
multiple sclerosis or a similar disorder that damages the myelin sheath
protecting certain nerves.
Trigeminal neuralgia can also be caused by a tumor compressing the trigeminal nerve.
Some people may experience trigeminal neuralgia due to a brain lesion or other abnormalities.
In other cases, surgical injuries, stroke or facial trauma may be responsible for trigeminal neuralgia.
Triggers
A variety of triggers may set off the pain of trigeminal neuralgia, including:
Shaving
Touching your face
Eating
Drinking
Brushing your teeth
Talking
Putting on makeup
Encountering a breeze
Smiling
Washing your face

Web MD Doctors Mix of Magnesium For Nerve Pain Coming From The Brain
Uses
Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. For children, the dosage is also based on weight.
If you are taking the tablets and your doctor directs you to split the tablet in half, take the other half-tablet at your next scheduled dose. Discard half tablets if not used within several days of splitting them. If you are taking the capsules, swallow them whole with plenty of water.
It is very important to follow your doctor's dosing instructions exactly. During the first few days of treatment, your doctor may gradually increase your dose so your body can adjust to the medication. To minimize side effects, take the very first dose at bedtime.
Take this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. This drug works best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Therefore, take gabapentin at evenly spaced intervals at the same time(s) each day. If you are taking this medication 3 times a day to control seizures, do not let more than 12 hours pass between doses because your seizures may increase.
Do not take this medication more often or increase your dose without consulting your doctor. Your condition will not improve any faster and the risk of serious side effects may increase.
Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.
Antacids containing aluminum or magnesium may interfere with the absorption of this medication. Therefore, if you are also taking an antacid, it is best to take gabapentin at least 2 hours after taking the antacid.
Different forms of gabapentin (such as immediate-release, sustained-release, enacarbil sustained-release) are absorbed in the body differently. Do not switch from one form to the other without consulting your doctor.
Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens.

Magnesium To Help Heal Nerves
I now need it, for nerve damage in my brain, that travels into my jaw: Pain so bad...... that it can stop me from drinking cold water, even warm water at times or eating food as in chewing, with using your jaw is awfully painful Or to swallow is even painful. Gads Yes , I went to another list of doctors about this! I got better and went off their pills but then took a small dose later.
But my son was afraid of the poisoning but it has now cleared my system and guess what? My jaw is killing me!!!!!! How do I sneak food and water to my tummy? More doctors and going to my veins with needles? No, I have to go back to Magnesium! But how long will it take to stop the pain?
It all seems to be linking back to that hitting concrete with my head in a black ice slip and fall. My poor legs even were twisted up under my body!!!!!! But it was government property and I could not ask for any help as it was the government? So with a shock look I got this message:" Oh you can't sue the government" said a lawyer when I was asking if I could get help paying for doctors x-rays to see what happened.
A doctor with a metal wheel ran it on my skin to see if I could feel it...... which I could not!. Him and his nurse were so surprised? I did not realize why until he finally found a spot on my body where I did feel it! I yelled and jumped through the roof!!!!!! But how did he react? He burst out laughing and bent over laughing his head off. Asked if I wanted to try it again? NO!!!!!! Then He burst out laughing again!

Can You Overdose on Magnesium?
Can You Overdose on Magnesium?
Magnesium is a mineral that’s found naturally in many foods and in your body. However, as with most things, there are dangers associated with getting too much. Magnesium overdose is technically known as hypermagnesemia. It occurs when there is too much magnesium in your blood. It can occur in people with chronic health conditions, although it’s rare. Magnesium overdose may also result from taking too much of a supplement or medication containing magnesium.
So how does this mineral work, and what happens when you get too much of it?
Magnesium serves many functions in the human body. It’s important for:
- protein synthesis
- healthy bone formation
- regulating blood pressure
- maintaining heart health
- energy production
- nerve function
- blood sugar control
If you take supplemental magnesium, the most you should ingest is 350 mg daily. However, magnesium may be prescribed to prevent migraine headaches, with a daily dosage of more than 350 mg a day. These dosages should only be taken with medical supervision.
Magnesium is found in a variety of foods, especially those with a lot of fiber. Nuts, leafy greens, legumes, and whole grains are among the best sources. Some specific foods that are high in magnesium include:
- almonds
- spinach
- cashews
- peanuts
- wheat cereal or bread
- soymilk
- black beans
- peanut butter
For example, it’s the first ingredient in some laxatives. While these medications may have a high amount of elemental magnesium, it normally isn’t dangerous. Because of the laxative effect, you don’t absorb all of the magnesium. Instead, it’s flushed from the body before it has a chance to have much impact. Magnesium is also present in some medications for acid, indigestion, or heartburn.
Learn more: 10 foods high in magnesium »
Hypermagnesemia is rare because the kidneys work to get rid of excess magnesium. Overdose is most often seen in people with kidney failure after they take medications containing magnesium, such as laxatives or antacids.
It’s because of this risk that people with kidney disease are cautioned against taking magnesium supplements or medications that contain this mineral. The risks are also higher for people with heart disease and gastrointestinal disorders.
According to the Office of Dietary Supplements, symptoms of magnesium overdose may include:
- diarrhea
- nausea and vomiting
- lethargy
- muscle weakness
- irregular heartbeat
- low blood pressure
- urine retention
- respiratory distress
- cardiac arrest
