Docuseries that made me cry: The Truth on Losing Weight
Hey there,

Dr. Mercola and I are lecturing in Costa Rica right now, but I had to share these huge stories with you. One went more viral (the top one) than any story I've ever done on the site.

I also have to tell you a little secret. There are so many documentaries coming out about weight loss that you can't keep up. But one is heads and shoulders above the rest.

If you want to learn The Truth About Losing Weight and keeping it off (and reversing diabetes), from a man who has lived it, then click here to watch this iThrive docuseries. FREE. You will thrive. Truly.

I have close family members watching this one and already, I know the difference it is going to make. The trailer brought tears to my eyes.

Our top story went more viral than anything we've ever written, and the one on dog food? They just recalled it hours ago! Great news.

I hope you all had a beautiful Valentine's day, and send my love.

Erin

PS Here's the link for the film on reversing obesity and diabetes. Watch now. I'm SO grateful for this docuseries as I used to be at over 50% body fat, but it can be done.
Breaking News
According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) this year’s flu is rampant in 49 states with Wisconsin and Minnesota being hit especially hard; partly because the dominant strain this year is H3N2, which tends to be more severe and causes more severe symptoms than most other strains but also potentially because of us:
On New Year’s Eve in 2016, Nikki Mael’s life drastically changed forever. Within minutes of giving her five dogs a can of Evanger’s pet food, she had to race one of them to the emergency vet. The vet couldn’t explain why her pets were falling over, running into the walls, convulsing or lifeless, as was the case with Talula, but hours later the vet told her Talula wasn’t going to make it.
We are constantly bombarded by a barrage of potent chemicals in our homes. However, a study by chemistry professor Vadoud Niri and his team at State University of New York, Oswego, found that houseplants are able to absorb some of those chemical compounds.
Aluminum is a known neurotoxin, and according to Professor Christopher Exley of Keele University, aluminum-containing products are likely fueling the rise in Alzheimer’s disease. In an article published in the journal Frontiers in Neurology, he writes: “We are all accumulating a known neurotoxin in our brain from our conception to our death. The presence of aluminium in the human brain should be a red flag alerting us all to the potential dangers of the aluminium age. How do we know that Alzheimer’s disease is not the manifestation of chronic aluminium toxicity in humans?”
An international team of researchers recently confirmed that children who drink fresh milk – unprocessed and unpasteurized – have a better immune response to allergens and are far less likely to develop asthma. Researchers from Indiana, Switzerland, and Germany ran surveys and tests on Swiss and US children aged 6-12 years and submitted their results to the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology last month.
Did any of you see this story last week? Recently, new mom Nichole Ward, of Carlsbad, California, conducted a fun science experiment that not only turned her stomach but set the internet on fire!
She took a petri dish and put it under a public hand dryer for three minutes. Then, with the top on she let it “incubate” for 48 hours. What grew inside, what came OUT of that hand dryer, is posted in the picture above.
A state-sponsored forced sterilization on a massive scale has allegedly taken place in Africa according to opposition leaders and the public who are railing against the government. An industrial pharmaceutical laboratory has since had its license suspended by the Kenya Accreditation Service as a result of the controversy.
Since the beginning of time, people have died. And, until science figures out a way to keep us all alive indefinitely, people will continue to die. Bodies, even the healthiest, wear out. And when those bodies wear out, you have to have a plan. Some people choose to be buried and others choose to be cremated. But it seems you now have a third option and it’s an environmentally friendly option. (I was unaware, until I wrote this story, that funeral homes here in the U.S. also use this process. You can check out a video at the bottom of the page for more info.)
On Tuesday, USDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb warned the public about the dangers of the herbal supplement kratom saying “There is no evidence to indicate that kratom is safe or effective for any medical use.”
The leaves of the kratom plant, which is native to Malaysia, are traditionally crushed and then made into a tea to treat pain or heroin/morphine dependence (by reducing withdrawal cravings). And according to its 3 to 5 million U.S. users, it’s a game changer and a life saver.
