Idle No More Protest & Burma’s Kachin War, The Dark Parallel

kachin-2The ‘Idle No More’ phenomena has reached epic proportions in recent weeks as indigenous people from throughout the America’s have risen to support Chief Spence and her hunger strike against Canadian tyranny.

Prime Minister Steve Harper inadvertently opened up a can of worms as he deliberately showed callous disregard for the People of the First Nation and it’s all about natural resources, tribal land and the corporate bottom line. The very same thing is happening to the Kachin (Jinghpaw) People of Kachin State Burma and if you connect the dots they are directly related to one another.

Though Burma and Canada are thousands of miles apart the plights of the indigenous people in these nations share a common enemy and that is elitists and their international corporations. They are eager to exploit sovereign tribal land whence these pesky indigenous people are removed either by force or euthanized as in the case of natural resource rich Kachin State. When will Steve Harper resort to force against the People of the First Nation for his corporate handlers? There is no question native people will soon have their flesh pierced by Canadian government bullets as vested corporate interests dictate the need to euthanize them like they have in Kachin State Burma.

It is ironic to note that Canadian & American mining interests are waiting in the shadows as the Burmese government wages war against the Kachin people. The only devil being publicized is Chinese mining and oil interests but if you did your homework you would also know that Canadian and US corporations are partnered with these Chinese firms. It is also ironic that within Kachin tradition they believe that the indigenous peoples of the America’s are descendants of the eldest of 7 brothers and are their relations. Sadly they also face extermination as the Burmese Military Junta continues to murder innocent people much like the Euro-Americans did just 100 years ago. The survivors were colonized, placed on reserves and their bloodlines erased from history.

The continued military assault on Kachin Internally Displace People (IDP) who are already dying from exposure & starvation in makeshift refugee enclaves is reminiscent of the slaughter of starving and freezing Lakota People (Čhaŋkpé Ópi Wakpála) in Wounded Knee on December 29, 1890. This is the darkest of all histories repeating it self. Dare I mention the Sand Creek Massacre of my people on November 29 1864? Like in the case of the Lakota & Cheyenne, the world is only supplying lip service and only in recent days has the mainstream media begun to make mention of the wholesale genocide in Kachin State as this war reaches its 2 year anniversary. Reason being is the fact independent news sources and bloggers have managed to gain the publics eye since Burma claimed to be a budding new democracy and wants sanctions lifted.

Fact is the new civilian government of Burma is a sham since the military junta continues to control with an iron fist. Suu Kyi and Thein Sein have been neutralized, denuded of real power and are nothing more than store fronts that mask a criminal regime. General Than Shwe should receive a Nobel Peace Prize for his cleaver re-enactment of the bloody history of the America’s since he is using historic western genocidal techniques as his blueprint for eugenics in Kachin State. The sham government of Burma is reflective of the sham government of Canada since they both cater to corporate mining and oil interests at the expense of the indigenous people. Eventually the non aboriginal people of Canada will learn exactly how they are being screwed by corporations much like the American public since corporations rule the roost in the good ole USA. Treason by politicians against their respective nations has become an art form globally and investors have sold their freedom.

Globalization is Colonization but on a grand scale and eventually everyone, regardless of race or color will soon discover this reality, except for us Red Indian types since we are already colonized. Wars are being planned not for the betterment of mankind but for vested corporate interests who already have designs on many resource rich nations such as the case of Kachin State and the sovereign land of the First Nation in Canada. But the cancer does not stop there for this rush for the corporate gold has infected Central and South America as private armies assassinate all who stand in their way. Africa is another corporate killing field where corporations have raped nation after nation of natural resources leaving the people impoverished while lining the pockets of tin horn dictators who murder their own people.

Idle No More stands for the re-awakening of humanity and the defense of Mother Earth not only in Canada but for the whole planet. Everyone, regardless of skin tone, is under siege from oligarchists who have waged war on anyone that stands in the way of progress and the corporate bottom line. And it is time for everyone on the planet to be Idle No More!
